I shoot clear, right after I print the decals. I like to use Sign Painter's One-Shot for the paint, if I have the color, I need. It flows out, beautifully and i's very opaque, so it can be thinned, allowing for a physically thinner coat of paint.
David G. Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Holy Moley! I miss a few meetings and see what happens? That's a fabulous finish to a long and involved build Daniel! As I was catching up, I was at first a little worried when I saw the orange-peeley paint but you put an amazing polish on it, impressive! An amazingly inspirational build Daniel! David G.

An amazingly inspirational build Daniel! David G. I appreciate your kind words, David. I was pretty happy I was able to fix that paint! Here's where it is, now...All that's left is the 'chute, which I am working on, now, then some cleanup and touchup, and it's off to the display case. My next photos will be glamour shots! It looks like a race car, now! 4
David G. Posted March 16 Posted March 16 It looks great Daniel! It's been such a grand adventure following along as you continued to add mind-blowing detail after mind-blowing detail. Thank you for taking the time to photograph and explain each step. I also appreciate your kind and thoughtful responses to all of our comments and questions. I'm looking forward to seeing the final photos. Just wondering... do you already have another project in mind? David G. 1
Pierre Rivard Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Very much looking forward to the glamour shots... but it is also a sad event because the pleasure to follow this build will no longer be. I'm an addict of your craft and now must find a way to wean myself off...
AmericanMuscleFan Posted March 16 Posted March 16 You're absolutely right Daniel, it looks like a race car 👍, on the street it would be a police magnet here on the other side of the border but I know it's more permissive on Uncle Sam's side! 😁 You're about to cross the finish line with this one but I'm sure you haven't said your last word, such nimble hands must be put to use!

Just wondering... do you already have another project in mind? David G. Thank you, David! I'm kinda thrilled about it! I think my next project might be a base, with an interchangeable backwall, and/or backdrops, to shoot on/in front of. There's a link to the completed phots, at the bottom of this post. Thanks for following along with this! You're so correct, Pierre--it's always bittersweet to reach the end of something you've become so--there's no more apt way to put it than "intimate with". Perhaps i can find something fairly quickly to keep us both interested!😄 I always appreciate your kind words, my friend. Thank you! On the street, this thing would be a cop magnet, anywhere!😂 I've cleaned the bench off. I'm sure it won't be long before the detritus piles begin to build, again! dwc43 Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Great looking car. Did Krieger get out of his lab and help with the build a bit? lol 1

Ian McLaren Posted March 22 Posted March 22 A masterfull model my friend, the amount of detail involved is staggering, the fit and finish is spot on. Quite a journey for what started out as a glorified curbside model. To quote Independance Day " Not bad, - Not to bad at all!

Yes, it did get a little beyond what I thought it was going to be, but, I'm glad it did!
RIXprints Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Very cool 55. I bought a 510 sedan when I was in high school in 1962. 1

And she's down with the hommies if you run outta gas in the hood too. 1
