BIGTRUCK
The '32 was just a fantasy build that can be done with any model kit. The only thing that was kit was the body, chassis engine, most decals and wheels, everything else was parts box or made. Just remember if you lower one part of the kit you have to lower alot more things. I lowered the body which in turn I lowered the radiator. Then shave the trans top to fit after I made the new floor. Had to open the roof for the roll bar even after I trimmed the bottom off. Last I had to find another carb because the hood would not lay flat. The metal screen is called wire form, I bought the aluminum , it comes in brass but that $5 more.
MarkJ
Ken, really awesome build on the Vicky. Sounds like you did a lot of work to make it look just right, which it does. Really love the flat head v-8 and the stacks for exhausts. Thats a really cool touch. Again, excellent build.
Mike 1017
Nice one. I have used that Wire Form as a stencil on some of my custom builds. Mike

bobss396
Very well done, it has the "look". I will have to get some of that wire form material. I picked up some spatter screens at the Dollar Store that are pretty good too.

Volzfan59
Great looking '32! Can the wire form be purchased at Hobby Lobby? I've learned the lesson your talking about while lowering Monogram nascar kits. What's the old saying, "for every action there is an equal reaction." Never fails.

Im not sure, but I am pretty sure they would have something close. I wouldnt look in the model area, this stuff is more for sculpting I believe.

I bought a pack there a few years ago, so it should still be there. This is one wicked short-track racer, everything about it just looks so right. Do you remember where those tires came from?
