MarcelT4 Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Hello everyone, after a long time I present you my latest kit from my 3D forge. The whole development took almost 2 years because I kept coming up with new things here and there. All the parts were then redesigned and so on. But here are a few pictures of the parts printed so far. I have to change some parts again and have them reprinted. I hope I can inspire some of you with them. PS: If you're wondering why there's an audio extension for the interior, it's because I want to recreate my Scirocco as I drove it for a long time and had a lot of fun. 10
stitchdup Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Nice work, do you plan to sell your files? i'd be a buyer 1

MarcelT4 Posted June 27, 2024 Author Posted June 27, 2024 Today I had a go at the clear parts. It wasn't so easy to create them in such a way that the structures are visible after printing. But it seems to have been successful. Then the rear axle had to be changed again because the 16V has disc brakes there. Last but not least, my rims. 6
MarcelT4 Posted June 28, 2024 Author Posted June 28, 2024 Today we continued with a few fitting tests. Unfortunately, some parts still don't really fit without major adjustments. 4
milo1303s Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 What are the wheels your using very nice remind me of a Borbet or Speedline but they are not though close ? love the euro lights nice !!
MarcelT4 Posted July 22, 2024 Author Posted July 22, 2024 Hello everyone, it's been a long time since anything happened here. First holidays and then high season with us. But something has always been done in between. Painted the body and rims... ...other parts too. The interior. The lights. And now the engine. What do you think? 2
iamsuperdan Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 I really like this. Long time VW owner/fan, and have wanted a Mk2 Scirocco for ages. If you do decide to sell the files for printing, I'd be interested. 1

rickcaps55 Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 WOW! the whole project is great I had no idea you can 3D print clear parts if you ask me that could be a big deal down the roar for stock and custom work, they came out awesome and the other thing you 3D printed the plug wires right into the motor that is awesome. 1
MarcelT4 Posted July 27, 2024 Author Posted July 27, 2024 Had a day off today. Of course I got something done. The Dashboard. Then I redesigned and printed the blinker lenses. I had to do a fitting test right away. Just like with the rear lights. I tried to make the stripes with Edding, they look quite good, but in macro they are a horror. Now write something. 3
mrm Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 Really cool. In a way this is the Corrado's granddaddy. I am happy Revell is making the Corrado and I wish they made the Scirocco too. Your model looks great. The custom "brow" hood is a very nice touch. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Scirocco was never sold on the US market. 1
MarcelT4 Posted July 28, 2024 Author Posted July 28, 2024 Good morning, the Scirocco was also sold in the USA. It just had different headlights and bumpers

This is strange, because from the countless car shows, cars and coffee, tuner mags etc., I have never seen a single Scirocco. Rabbits, Golfs yes, but never a Scirocco. Never seen one on the street either. I have even seen Yugos, which were the cheap Golf nockoffs.
