Growing up in the 60's I always wanted to build those big Monogram models but then like now I just never had the space , so in 2016 I decided to recreate them in a smaller 1/24th scale . The Little Deuce and Little T were available and I was able to find both , along with several incomplete Little T's and miscellaneous parts that would be needed for the other three builds .

Finished in 2018 here are my five Tribute Builds .

"LITTLE DEUCE" - This was a restoration of a built up original , the only non-original parts are resin cast headlight lenses and fabricated soft top bows .

"LITTLE T" - This is a box stock build of an original Little T .

"LITTLE ROD" - This started life as a Little T . It has a cut down '32 Radiator shell and grille , rear wheels from a Little Coffin , and a few custom parts including the fabricated headers and the top .

"LITTLE DRAG" - This also started as a Little T . All of the correct parts for the engine , interior , Moon tank , and wheels were sourced from over a dozen different kits . The handbrake , shifter , and steering wheel were scratch built . The roll bar and push bars were hand formed using aluminum rod .

"LITTLE TUB" - Maybe the most difficult was the Little Tub , since no pre-1926 body was available I grafted two Little T bodies together . The interior and top were also fabricated in the same manner . The chassis and engine are from a Little T , both built right out of the box except for rear wheels from a Blue Bandito . The cycle fenders are modified Red Chariot Pieces .

The finishing touch for last three was creating the artwork for custom decals and the faux box art . Thanks for looking !

Edit - I'm adding this group shot of the three phantom builds as requested by XYHarry . Thanks for asking David !

Very cool stuff, Bob. These builds all look great, but together they make a fantastic collection. Real nostalgia. Nice work piecing together these oldies. They are lovely to see, thanks for posting.

Bitchen builds and a GREAT collection and display, Bob! Wouldn't it be amazing if Atlantis had the original tooling for these kits as well as the Boss A Bone and re-released them?

I'll second that they are some fantastic builds. As far as Atlantis having the tools, at least as far as the 1/24th stuff, that isn't too likely. Revell Monogram just reissued the 32 Roadster a couple of years ago, and I think both the T and A (last seen as the Blue Bandito) are still with Revell/Monogram as well. Maybe they can be convinced to run some retooled parts, although the Boss A Bone, being a Tom Daniel design is likely out of the question.

Thanks !  Never posted these on HAMB but I'm not surprised . I built these 7-8 years ago and I'm sure I'm not the first or only one to have this idea .

Thanks Dave ! Both the T and Deuce tooling was modified by Revell and reissues several times , if it did exist it was probably in China .

What a great set!  I have 3 of the 5 done ( Little Deuce, Little T and Little Tub) and have plans for the Little Drag.  I will be using your Little Drag as a blueprint.

And yes, your models are currently on the Sunday Models page of the H.A.M.B.  A member there regularly posts photos copied from this site onto that site.  Unfortunately he never acknowledges the builder of the model!  Some people have taken him to task on this issue but he does not respond.  A weird way of doing things to my mind.

Cheers

Thanks very much Alan , great to hear you're building these too ! I've been helping another member do the same so if you ever have any questions just ask , I'll help if I can .

As for the photos being on H.A.M.B. . . . I've never liked that some people repost models without giving credit to the original builder . He probably doesn't see any problem with doing it , I guess it's the social media mentality these days and there's nothing we can do about it . It is what it is .
