Falcon Ranchero Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 My mom got this kit for my dad's birthday, last year. He waited a while to build it, but on March 10th, 2024, it was completed. This is his favourite car of all-time, 1967 Mustang fastback. Back in '67 his dad had a '67 Coupe, in light blue, 289, 4-speed manual. Though my dad has always liked the fastback version. 6
Tim W. SoCal Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 I think this one is your best so far, Nathan. BEAUTIFUL Mustang! Another bitchen build... What paint did you use on the body? 1

What paint did you use on the body? It was a Testors brand spray can, if I remember correctly. My dad was going to spray it green, like the BULLITT Mustang, but that car was a '68 and this is a '67 so this blue was chosen, as I had used it on my 1/16 scale '57 T-bird, so we were familiar with the colour, and genuinely liked how it looked on the cars. There's always a can or two at Hobby Lobby if you're lookin' to use this paint for any models.
espo Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 Great looking paint color and finish. Like the OEM look. Nice detailing on the engine and the wheel & tire setup. 1
STU111 Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 That’s a nice clean build of one of my favourite US muscle cars. I like it a lot.?? Cheers, Stu. 1
XYHARRY Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Nice fastback there Nathan, that colour is gorgeous and the wheels are my favourite OEM Ford rims. Really well done. Cheers, David. ??
ReduitRetro Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 Wow!...very nice. I've had one of these on my shelf collecting dust unbuilt for well over 20 years now. Your build is inspiring me to throw some glue at it finally. Great job! 1
