jjsipes Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 Just completed my 1964 Dodge altred and driven by Dick Landy. Stock Amt kit, modified body for the altred wheelbase, used a straight axle and leaf springs from a Dodge A-100 pickup kit. Tamiya paints and Slixx decals. The front track width could have been a little wider. 13
echo Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 Nice effort, one of my favorite Landy cars. Made one in the 90's with Fred Cady decals.
dragcarz Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 That’s beautiful Jason, I’m very glad you finished this build. Very well done!
papajohn97 Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 (edited) A very accurate model of Landy’s first AWB car. I’m particularly impressed with both the elongated front & rear wheel well openings, you nailed it! Edited July 22, 2024 by papajohn97 Correction
Zippi Posted July 23, 2024 Posted July 23, 2024 I wasn't much of a Dodge fan back in the day but man that 64 looks good. Those decals really pop over that silver body. Nice build Jason.
Nitro330 Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Super cool build Jason! Love the old Dick Landy cars and you nailed this one, looks great. Great job on the body mods.
dragcarz Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Great looking build, you captured the look! Very well done!
Rattlecan Dan Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Great-looking build. Huge amount of realism. Nice job!
M W Elky Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 This is one great kit and you did a fantastic job. The wheel base alternations are spot on. The silver landy cars are my favorites
bogger44 Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 You nailed the look of it for sure! Very nice work on modifying the wheelwells & wheelbase. I always thought this was such a cool car, and you've done it justice. The real one is on display at the Museum Of American Speed in Lincoln, Nebraska. I snapped a bunch of pictures of it for reference for the day I attempt to build it for myself.
Brutalform Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 The first funny car. Job well done! Looks just as good than any picture I have seen of this car. Glad I looked back in the WIP Drag Racing, or I would have missed this.
