My Burger King Project

I give you a 7 for the concept. As someone who has been on the roof of a LOT of Burger Kings, your accuracy is way off. But I will not hold it against you. Nice effort. Throw some more detail at it as you see fit.

In my opinion, the "score" depends.  Is it scratch built or assembled from a kit?  If built from scratch, added points for a very nicely done job.  If assembled from a kit, neatly done but much less effort/originality required, so fewer points.

Again, my opinion, as shown it's a "model" not a diorama.  A diorama would include weathering and added features such as landscaping, people, vehicles or other things to make it "come alive".

Either way, it's nicely done.

Looks a bit 'out of the box' right now, but a bit of subtle weathering will lift the model quite a bit. There are many books and on line tutorials about weathering if that side of modelling will be new to you.  Also books for artists about painting buildings can yield a lot of information about the subtle colouring of various weathered buildings.

So 6 out of 10 for the moment.

Not sure how to rate this.  How would you like it to be rated?  On what basis? kit or scratch, skill level necessary to construct, etc.?  Did you do the work?  Are you a new builder or an experienced one?  These are all things that go into the process of what you asked to be done.

Since you have responded and indicated that this is your first time building I encourage you not to worry so much about some type of rating but rather to explain what you did in deciding to build the kit (it's obviously not a scratch built project).  Tell us what you liked about the process, what you found difficult or challenging to do and how you overcame that.  The more you build the more experience you will gain and your confidence in developing your skills will increase along with it.  In time you may find a type of modeling that you really like.  When you do, go for it, challenge yourself to try new techniques, develop some ideas of your own and above all have fun doing it.  If you need help, ask for it here.  There are many modelers looking on who are only waiting to help out in a positive way.

Allison, You might not have understood the question.

"Scratch built" means that the model is not assembled from a kit, but all the parts that make up the model are made by you from raw materials (like plastic sheets or cardboard or other materials).  There is also another term "kit-bashed".  That means your model was build using parts from multiple kits combined into one model.  With kit-bashing you could also incorporate some scratch built parts in that model.
