Modlbldr Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 This is my first commission build. The guy wanted it built similar to one he had years ago. I mixed a couple colors of nail polish to airbrush the body. Mixed three acrylic paints for the interior color. I also added styrene strips for the trim of the vinyl top and sprayed it with semi gloss white. This wasn't the funnest of kits to build, but it is done and the customer is happy. Now to get it to him in one piece. Later- 4
Russell C Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Ah, the good ol' days of jacked up street machines. They were everywhere back in my day. Surprised the customer didn't ask for sidepipes on it. 1
XYHARRY Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Your customer is understandably happy, it turned out really well. Very well done Tom. Cheers, David. ?? 1
espo Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Great looking paint work. The stans seems a little different for a front wheel drive car, but like you mentioned, this is what the guy had. 1
Can-Con Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Turned out great, Tom. Love the color and vinyl roof. When you say it's "similar to one he had", I assume you mean a model and not a real 1/1 Eldorado. 1
thatz4u Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Nice Caddy, I thought that only Chevy Novas drove "downhill" back then... 1

David G. Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 I remember watching you scrape this one together Tom, it's nice seeing it completed. It looks like it came out quite well in spite of the troubles it gave you. David G. 1
