I have been into motorcycles most of my life. This is my 1980 Kawasaki Z1R, motor is an 1175cc, mostly fiberglass body, magnesium wheels and a heavily machined transmission shifted by air. Raced this from 1980 thru 1983. My recent bikes KTM EXC 300, Kawasaki KX 500, and last sold , my Honda CRF 450 with street legal kit.

  For MANY years, from 1977 until 2001, I commuted on my blue 1977 Kawasaki KZ650 Custom and then my red 1979 KZ100 MkII. If I had to drive a car for more than 2 days for any reason, I felt like I was locked up in a cage... In 2001 while commuting on my local freeway, I was almost taken out TWICE in 3 days by divers in large SUVs. I had a mortgage to pay, responsibilities at my job and didn't HEAL as quickly as I did when I was younger, so I parked my street bikes....It had become WAY too dangerous to ride my beloved street bikes to work, and this was BEFORE the common practice of texting while "driving"... I  HATE having to had make THAT decision to this day!!!... In my garage: 1979 Kawasaki KZ1000 Mk. II modified to 1982 Eddie Lawson KZ1000 Road Race specs, Kawasaki KX 500 Desert Race machine, raced in AMA District 37 from 1994 until 2004, Honda XR600 with 13.5:1 compression 640cc kit, built for 4-Stroke Grand Prix, piston started life as a 4.00 in bore Ross Racing Chevy 350 NASCAR piston... FUN STUFF, don't get to operate NEARLY often enough...
