Wow, it really is remarkably difficult to express my admiration for your astonishing work. One is dumbstruck by the quality and ingenuity of your craftsmanship. I don't build trucks, but whenever I see ones this cool it makes me want to.

A couple of questions: What's a headache rack? What's the reference to "Maude" in relation to paint and why would it date you? I know these aren't modeling related; I'm just curious.

Tim, Ray, Kostas,

Thanks for the comments!

Curtis, Thanks for the comment!

A headache rack is a cab guard/storage box mounted behind the cab/sleeper. It is for protection from loads shifting forward, usually flatbeds, and hitting the cab, possibly going into or even through resulting in a headache......if you catch my drift. I guess cab guard is the industry term and headache rack probably adapted by drivers experiencing its effective qualities.

The "Maude", if you're not old enough to know, comes from a tv show in the late 70's/early 80's called Maude. Anyway, that post was for the pieces of that build that had been painted. So, I started off thinking "and then there's paint". Well, for years, because of that show, when I say the words "and then there's ?", the theme from that show interupts my thought and takes over. The words to the theme song were "And then there's Maude".

Mopar fan,

That's easier than typing all the #'s and such. Well, until I went typing all of this. What would be even easier, as well as appreciated is if you could put your real name in the sig line at the bottom of your post. Besides, forum rules require it.

Thanks for the comment!

The tires on my 378 are aftermarket but are on kit wheels. This stuff is plastic, anything is possible. Although, the 378 is 1/24 scale and the Alaskan Hauler is 1/25. But, like I said, it is plastic. If you want them on it, then all you have to do is adapt them. Something I have yet to do.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the explanation of both of those items. And, while I'm just old enough to remember "Maude," the only thing I really recall clearly was the presence of Adrienne Barbeau.
