Maurice Henderson
Good Afternoon Forum Here are two of my latest builds 1st up is the Leal car Started with the AMC Duster..Back halfed it with Hemi Dart rear frame..It has Texas 3D custom Hemi..3 sets of Slixx decals..When I say these decals were the death of this build, that would be an understatement..They just kept breaking on me as soon as I put them in water..Aftermarket hood and Fenton wheels..I did paint it Poppy Seed Red in which I bought a can on ebay..This build fought me every step of the way and I was just go really tired of dealing with it..It's not my best work, but I'm ok with that. This car almost got sent flying through the house to become pieces Billy the Kid I had a 72 resin demon, but it was warped beyond repair..So I got a 71 kit and made the best of it..I took the hemi from the 76 Dart kit, added the Slixx decals and here you go. The decals on this kit were not as bad, problems still. Aftermarket Fenton rear wheels and fronts came from the parts box..The hood scoop is from the 67 Chevelle and my left thumb is still numb as hell!!! Edited September 1 by Maurice Henderson Can I have this post move to Finished Drag Racing

Altered Ego
100% with you on the decal issues on the Flash. I had the same problem and is really the only thing I wasn't happy with on mine. The Dart backhalf has me intrigued. I used the backhalf from the 66 Nova Pro Street which seems standard practice among everyone on here. Keep up the good work and you can see mine on Pro Stock Fun. M W Elky
They both look really good I’m with you on the decals it took me 2 sets on the leak car as they didn’t include the hood stripe . With the slixx I recommend keeping the water really hot I boil mine in a electric tea pot also I like to use a few drops of dawn dish soap
Maurice Henderson
Thanks for the tip M W..I was frustrated as hell with those decals..There was a problem with all of them. I always use hot water because that's what my older brother taught me..On the 3rd set, I tried using the roof decal and it disintegrated on me, so I painted the hood. I used the Dart because, I wanted that old school look of the leaf springs setup that the 60/70 Super Stocks & Pro Stocks had.

I’m right with you on the Dart parts I sacrifice a dart kit for a parts donor on all of my early mopar pro stock builds 70-72 as I use the rear with the leaf springs , the Hemi plus the slicks and front tires , also the main roll bar hoop. If you have them the old johan Sox& Martin cuda is the best mopar pro stock parts donor of all time
TonyK
Both are good looking models. So frustrating to put all that work into a model and then have the decals screw it all up.
