Scale-Master Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 The Rain-X car is done. WIP Thread: 8
Rich Chernosky Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Mark...despite all the problems this one came out real sweet. Those chassis were awesome too. Great job. Can't wait to see the other two. 1
1959scudetto Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Very nice, Mark - in that small scale !!! 1
MarkJ Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Excellent job, Mark. Watched the wip with much attention and it's great to see the first of 3 done. Looks flawless from any angle. 1
Bruce Scully Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Really nice work in this, it looks great. 1
Scale-Master Posted September 16, 2024 Author Posted September 16, 2024 And now the Sunoco car is finished. For some reason the body fit quite a bit better over the chassis than the Rain-X car did even though they are the same exact parts. I did the same adjustments to the dash on this as the last one too, but the Rain-X body just didn't fit without magnets to pull the sides in and down; I did not need them on the Sunoco car. 1
MarkJ Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 Mark, another stunning build. Weird how you had less trouble with the body fit with this one. Model looks just like the other one. You took the real car and shrunk it down to 1/25 scale. 2 down and one to go, and I'm looking forward with great anticipation to seeing it. Model on. 1
Scale-Master Posted September 27, 2024 Author Posted September 27, 2024 Last but not least, the Hot Wheels car is finished. It, like the Sunoco car, did not need the magnet treatment to get the body to fit over the chassis, just the trimming of the dash. 2
MarkJ Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 Mark, three excellent builds, everyone is super clean, awesome paint jobs and decal work done to perfection. I believe a group shot of them together would be in order here. You know it's too bad that they can't engineer the kit better, so you did not have to go to so much trouble getting everything to fit properly. But you got it done magnificently. Bravo. 1
Scale-Master Posted September 28, 2024 Author Posted September 28, 2024 Here's all three. If I build another one of these kits it will be a curbside. I'm glad I did the full interior on these, but they are a lot easier to build as curbsides and the interior detail is just OK. 1
bbowser Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 Outstanding work on all three. Followed the WIP, well done. 1
MarkJ Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 Group shots look awesome. Thanks for posting them. 1
Mattilacken Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Nicely done! They al looks the part! Great job! 1
Rich Chernosky Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 Masrk...thanks for doing this project and all the WIP work. It was most enjoyable to see the master at work. And you certainly did nail all three of them. Great job.
