G'day all, just finished today is my triple black Revell '69 Pontiac GTO "The Judge" RamAir IV.

Colour is Tamiya ts14 gloss black, ts6 matt black for the vinyl top and ts29 semi gloss black for the interior.

This kit went together with not too many problems except for a slightly warped hood which was easily fixed with hot water. The vinyl roof is my first attempt and turned out OK, although it needed another centre section over the top, which I forgot. The chrome trim was done with Evergreen half round strips.

If I was ordering a GTO in 1969 this is what it would be. I'm not sure if there were any ever built in this configuration but I imagine if there were it would be quite valuable today.

Thanks everyone for looking and as always your comments are welcomed and appreciated.

Cheers,

David. ??

G’day David. Triple black is the holy grail of colour combos in classic muscle cars, and if there is a 69 Pontiac GTO out there in this combination, it would look awesome, because your excellent build certainly does. ?? Well done and thanks for sharing this one.

That's really nice; I built the same kit but did the regular Carosel Red GTO, but I feel I could've done a less traditional one that would have been just as cool, which yours totally is. Especially with the vinyl top ?

Great looking body paint color and finish, vinyl roof, and the Judge trim. Like the engine and interior detailing.

Everything looks good in black. Excellent color combo you go going on here. The vinyl roof is a nice touch. Very nicely done.

I've never seen this box art before. The model looks great in all black.

Thanks Mozzi, it's the current Revell release and has all four stripe colours in the decal sheet so that any colour combo can be used when building 'The Judge' option.

Very nice Judge. I agree, Triple Black Pontiacs are awesome. I currently own one. (1972 Grand Prix, my 3rd).

Thanks Bill, I wouldn't mind seeing a photo of your 72 Grand Prix, that is if you don't mind.
