A gentleman showed up at our last VFW meeting driving a 1:1 of this truck. It was dropped about 4 inches all the way around, painted a mile-deep black, IIRC it was sporting torque thrust mags. Very beautiful truck. Now what are your plans for this one?

Nothing quite so dramatic for this build. A little more conservative. Something like this.image.jpeg.2f5f77e68af8dae1a6ac44155c3642c8.jpeg

I'm a bit bummed this kit does not come with the side trim. I don't think I'm skilled enough to replicate it.

This is a great kit with lots of possibilities and limited only by your imagination. Stock, custom or trashed just do it your way.

That’s a great looking truck!

I could not get the hood to line up. After over sanding I had to get out the putty. It'll be tricky to keep it from falling off.image.thumb.jpeg.1464e21bd4b89aecec6031f30eef3b35.jpeg

I used Tamiya Champagne Gold for the interior. I pondered doing another trim color.

No carpet this time, but I do wish I had detailed the seat a bit more.

Pickup primed. And primed again. I sprayed grey first on the white plastic to spot flaws, then white over the grey to show off the color coats better. Does that jive?

It’s looking good Calvin.? I had trouble getting the floorpan to sit up tight against the firewall on my ‘65, which is from the same tooling I think. And the windshield doesn’t fit great, so check those issues before paint.?

I can't decide how to treat the engine bay. Do I make it all body color, all black, or firewall and radiator black and the rest body color. Thoughts?

From the factory, the firewall was body color and the inner fenders and radiator cradle were black.

Wiring went well I think. next time I want to try adding some cable looms, any ideas appreciated. This time I drilled holes big enough to insert the boot first. I think it looks cleaner.
