Steve "Stangfreak? Mason Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 I have loved building models of Mustangs. Not because I believe it's the best, but a yellow 1968 Mustang GT with a beefed up 390 4 speed. Quite a bit of power for a 16-17 year old "WILD CHILD" kid. Fords were what I learned to drive in and work on and got to know allot about the Mustangs and owned several over the years. I racked up allot of drag racing and reckless operation tickets pretty quickly. I did allot of racing at National Trails Raceway in Columbus Ohio with all my Mustangs. I took a break in the late 80s and raised a family and bought an 82 Fox body Mustang. I pumped a good chunk of change in the drive train and entered in the NMRA. (National Mustang Racers Association). I did pretty well there until I was diagnosed with cancer in late 2006. The Mustang, truck, and trailer had to go to pay co-pays for surgeries, treatments, meds, and exams. Here's some builds of my Mustangs I built and raced in the NHRA circuits... I sure wish I still had one of these Mustangs I thrashed, trashed and/or crashed... 4
vamach1 Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 Welcome Steve and cool builds. I have been a fan of Mustangs ever since I bought a 72 Mach1 in 1976. 1
