Biscuitbuilder Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Got a idea for one and was wondering before I get it set in my mind that I have to do it Nope, but that shouldn't be a problem! Just combine the grille of the AMT '49 with a '50, a few little detail changes, and you are there (of course, if you want a '51, you will want to consult the Modelhaus website for a '51 Grille and such. mrglubaum Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Charlie, Using the '50 as a donor kit, every body style available in 1950 can be built with just a little effort. In addition, there are a few nice phantom conversions available. Here's what I have in my collection: convertible (plastic) club coupe (plastic, AMT '49 using '50 parts) business coupe (plastic, use '49 body and remove back seat) Crestliner 2dr sedan (resin, Modelhaus) standard 2dr sedan (resin, roof only, Modelhaus) station wagon (resin, R&R Vacuumcraft) 4dr sedan (fiberglass, Jaymar, may be availale in resin from R&R) Austrailain "ute" pickup (fiberglass, Jaymar) phantom three window coupe (resin, Hendrix Mfg.) phantom fastback sedan (resin, Hendrix Mfg.) phantom sedan delivery (resin, Jimmy Flintstone) phantom 2dr hardtop (resin, use Hendrix '51 Victoria body with '50 parts) The '49-'51 Ford is my all-time favorite car, both in scale and full size!
