pic 1: People always ask me how I do those little wires, I use old speaker wire, the kind you can sort of see through, there's a million tiny wires in there!

pic 2: Then I twist them together leaving a bit to paint in colour, in this case I wanted 6 sets of 2, so I twisted them together, length doesn't matter at this point.

pic 3: I brush acrylic colours on the ends, whatever I have, not correct by any means, and the paint tends to bubble at first but brushing until semi-smooth is easy.

pic 4: Then I paint the twisted part flat black to replicate old school tape. Modern cars have more sophisticated wire covers and connectors, this is for older cars.

I made a rad top from 2 pieces of scrap. I plan to modify and add a Ford expansion tank from the '64 Fairlane kit.

I made headlight buckets from baby moons out of a '56 Ford kit, chrome stripped, wire holes drilled and painted gloss black.

I wired 2 horns, 2 electric fans and those 2 headlights, the 6 sets of wires I twisted previously.

I also made a pair of rad wall to firewall support tubes and painted those black.

Thanks for the tip on the wiring details. Sometimes the simplest things have the biggest impact on the overall appearance of a build.

I had to remove the molded on voltage regulator, carefully now that I'm this far!

Added a rad expansion/fill tank and hose.

THEN, I installed the engine!

I modified the header ends from the Mobius Nova gasser kit.

Added cut outs for street with mufflers.

Finally got her licensed, still need to make up a throttle linkage before I can cruise!

Oh, and there's still a few more items I'll have attend too before it's ready.

I'm still having fun with this Falcon build although it's almost finished, I keep finding things to add.

I made a driveshaft hoop and some little ladder bars.

Nothing special but I had the fun of scratch building them!

Getting down to the short list now!

Way cool build, Dennis! The old falcons just make great gassers. Just like the early chevy II's. Really nice work on all the details. Very nice!

Dennis, repeating what everyone else has said, this is great work.  Also, I commend you on showing how the Moebius Chevy II gasser can be a great source of parts for kitbashing Gasser projects.

I've pondered a similar project myself, though nowhere near to the level of detail and execution you are showing us here, with either a Revell l1962 Lancer GT or an AMT 1963 Valant (my donor for that is even in the same color as yours).

Anyway, thanks for showing us your step by step and big congrats from this corner on finishing this project!  Cheers...TIM

Killer build Dennis. I’m not a huge fan of gassers in general, but some of them speak to me. This one was calling me. Very cool build sir!
