Musclecarbuilder Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 (edited) A buddy of mine told me to build this kit when we were shopping at a local hobbyshop here in TN. I figured "Why not?" It'll be fun! I started trimming all the body parts off the sprue trees, this is all the parts in the kit!! After trimming all the parts of the trees, I started to do the usual trim-sand-file-repeat of all the parts to ensure that they fit together correctly. The backs of the racing buckets had a huge hole/dent type of thing that drove me insane, so I filled them in. After doing that I moved on to the dash. There was an option in the kit to make it a manual or auto, but there's no pedals in the kit! (Of course I chose the manual option) I made some custom style pedals out or aluminum sheet. This shifter needs a new look Much better? I started doing a little bodywork last night, and this morning I got the car all primed up and ready for paint! I had to do a little wet-sanding due to the ungodly amount of dust spots that appeared on this kit. So hopefully tomorrow I can get her painted, which reminds me... I decided to go with this color purple: (The bottle of paint on the right is a colorshift purple) That's all I got right now progress-wise. Thanks for looking!!
