jhuntsman Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 im new here and im not up to date with all the tricks you guys know. i have a car i want to strip the paint off of and i have seen on here people putting their bodies in the "purple pond". what is in this that makes the paint come off? and how long do you soak it? i tried the oven cleaner and that didnt work. thanks for any help! jeff

Brake Fluid works best as well to me its too greasy it takes awhile to get that greasy feel off the plastic but that works. If the paint is a enamel use Purple Power or Castrol Super Clean. I use Purple Power its cheaper and it works just like CSC & Simple Green but with Purple Power you get more for your buck. I hope this works for you.
