im new here and im not up to date with all the tricks you guys know. i have a car i want to strip the paint off of and i have seen on here people putting their bodies in the "purple pond". what is in this that makes the paint come off? and how long do you soak it? i tried the oven cleaner and that didnt work. thanks for any help! jeff

If the paint is a lacquer, acrylic or a pre-painted kit use 91% Isopropyl Alcohol let it sit overnight and scrub with a toothbrush. Brake Fluid works best as well to me its too greasy it takes awhile to get that greasy feel off the plastic but that works.

If the paint is a enamel use Purple Power or Castrol Super Clean. I use Purple Power its cheaper and it works just like CSC & Simple Green but with Purple Power you get more for your buck. I hope this works for you.
