the last time I built this kit was in 1988 and I don't have it anymore. it should be a fun winter project and I'll be starting on it soon. c&c welcome as usual and thanks for looking.

I remember building this decades ago, it was a great kit then, nearly as good as the ERTL kits of the day. Looking forward to seeing another build on this.

I took a quick peek at the chassis and it looks like I'll be cutting the frame rails and shortening the wheelbase by at least an inch. those are the plans anyway, to get the look I'm after. the decals I ordered were supposed to be delivered the 4th, now here it is a week later and the tracker shows they're still in transit. don't know what is up with the USPS. I'd like to get the cab painted before it turns real cold.

Should be a fun build to watch.

USPS is doing things that make no sense unless it is to discourage using the cheapest shipping.

Anything sent priority gets here on time but if sent ground it gets 70 miles south at the sort center which usually means it will be here the next morning mail. Instead, I will get a notice on tracking that it is in transit but will be late and it takes two more days to get here.

You guys get stuff in ‘days’?????   Wow. Thats fast …. My stuff is never here in less than three weeks or usually a month …. Huh🤔

This will be a very nice build! A printed aerodyne might be a challenge! 🤔 But I've got enough ideas at the moment to keep me busy for another one and a half years at least! But I'll keep it mind!

Meanwhile I'll be watching this!

thanks everyone for the input. build is still stalled waiting on decals. found some pictures on the web what the plans for this build are. going to pick up a 123 kit for the engine and trans. I was always a fan of the international transport trucks, mine will be dark green and yellow when painted. the mail tracker is still showing in transit, pathetic. I live in ohio and the decals are coming from indiana. about a 7 hr. drive including stops for meals and potty. keep in mind they were ordered the end of november. starting to think someone needed them real bad.

Sometimes the shipping of aftermarket can be the most frustrating part of a build. That top pic of the Pete is one super sharp looking truck. If you paint yours like that it will be spectacular. I’m Quietly following along here and look forward to the next update …..

Very cool looking inspiration truck - all the chrome parts across the lower portion of the truck really sets off the paint scheme!

international transport trucks,

Me too They we’re a neat color. I’m planning some day to do a 1/43 Kenworth K-123. Ken here’s a pic I found for you on the net.

Yes I’m having the same problem with the Mail not because of the holidays either had a package late summer made to my post office then was resent to Omaha NE. I live in Missouri after that it went to Texas and got delivered at a different address. Glad the seller on eBay printed me another set of decals and he got a refund from the postal service. Had one this week I tracked do the same so I called our local office and intercepted it yesterday before it left again because this package could not get replaced.

Agree with Jeff that top picture is cool, and that green color is almost black. Cool colors

I like it to Gary. I have a neat dark green that I could use. pictured is a car from a few years ago with the color on it.
