Geoff Bodine '92 Motorcraft Thunderbird

Hey folks, I appreciate the encouragement I received from my last build, so I dove right into another NASCAR build:

Not one of Geoff Bodine's best ride to say the least, but it was still one of my favorite rides regardless being that he was one of my favorite drivers. When I saw people basically giving away this kit on eBay, I picked it up with along with a butt-load of same-era AMT NASCAR kits for dirt cheap.

But enough of the back story.

Ok, added a few more details and completed the rollcage. Preparing the rims and suspension parts for paint and assembly right now. Soon I'll have a complete chassis. It's coming together pretty quickly. I should get on the decals so they can dry and I can get on with polishing the body. Hoping by the time I'm done, the will look like it just rolled out of Bud Moore's garage.

I'm not into building Nascar models but ths one is well done I like it and how it's been done, well done on a great job.

Got some more done. The body is all decal-ed up, just waiting for the decals to set/dry before I polish the body and install the windows. Other than that, the only the left to do is the rear suspension.

It's been a fun build so far. Especially after my JG build, I now know what and what not to do. Also taking some savvy advice you guys left in my last thread about spraying parts too. Makes a HUGE difference!

Finished! I think Geoff won 3 races and several top fives while behind the wheel of this car. I remember him following not that far behind the Dale and Dale show in the '93 Daytona 500.
