Falcon Ranchero Posted January 2 Posted January 2 This build was inspired by the first classic car we went to look at back in May 2022. It was a 1966 Thunderbird that had been sitting since '93. It was baby blue with a white top, but it was a little crusty. Had a black interior and 1972 hubcaps. Also had the regular roof as opposed to the Town coupe. The car ran but made clanking noises. It was a restoration project, but we really didn't have any space for such an endeavour, so this model is a showcase of what I would've done to the real car, had we purchased it. 9

I would LUV to own one with the 428 Yeah that 428 has caught my eye a couple times when looking at Thunderbirds for sale. 1966 is my favourite year of the 64-66 'birds cause the '66 front end looks somewhat like a Mustang with four headlights so it adds to the sportiness. I like the taillight treatment on the 66. I have watched Mecum for a long time now. #1 grade cars are starting to go up in value. 1
slusher Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Great looking Thunderbird Nathan! I admire and like thunder birds, my favorite is the 66 in Thema and Louise. If you see rust there is more you can’t see. Whatever you buy put it on a rack and look at it and check the Floor boards.. 1
