I was looking over some of my past posts and noticed that my sentences often end with a period and question mark. I thought I had fat fingers at first. Then I realized that the emoji’s that I use from my iPad keyboard all get replaced with the question mark after a time. When I look at a past comment or compliment I gave someone, it might be taken as sarcasm if the reader thinks I typed the question mark. Other forum members emoji’s have also disappeared I notice.

I imagine using the emoji’s from the board will not disappear? It’s just that they are tiny and not as good a selection.😕🙂😕🙂

I flagged this for Tech Support (Dave). Could be on our end or it could be an issue with Apple. Can you link a post so i can see if it shows the same for me?

The emojis above are alternating…sad from my iPad, happy from the forum. I can not copy the address bar (on my iPad) and paste it into a thread to create a link. I used to be able to… but now I have to copy the address, paste it into note pad and then copy the link from notepad and paste it into a thread here like so: https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/196451-stoopid-internet-answers%3F/#comment-2972629

My original post in that thread should end with an emoji instead of the question mark. I can still copy and paste links fine on other forums.

Thanks, Greg.

I see the question mark too. Hopefully Dave will be able to look into this and come up with a solution.

They don’t disappear right away, or maybe not always? Here’s a screenshot of my post on Feb 28/24.

Ah haaa!! I have seen MANY threads with replies such as “great looking paint job!??”, or something similar with question marks after. I thought maybe some sort of spell check issue, but this makes sense. I certainly hope my replies to others which often include emogies, haven’t been mistaken as sarcasm or worse. Thank you mods for everything you do to keep this forum running smooth. It is truly appreciated.

Looking back on my posts…page 11 (Nov 20th) the emojis are still there. page 12 (Nov 19th) and anything previous they have disappeared.

I just updated the forum software, so things will likely behave a bit differently. But, I can only see a limited recount of your activity on my iPhone. Refuses to show anything before Saturday. It does show the reaction icons.
