gtx6970 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 (edited) I started this kit at least 10 years ago. No idea why it got put away, I found it diggin thru some boxes for pieces for another build. I actually forgot I even had this one. But the time has come to kick it to the finish line. In reality the only thing I needed to build was drivetrain and chassis - suspension. Im keeping it kinda sorta box stock. Only non stock pieces are tires and wheels , Basically because I think it looks better with them I think its old Testors hemi orange ???? And was quite surprised the painted body actually survived unscathed all these years in the box. The white interior has yellowed a touch. But Im not stripping it to change it. Engine is painted Duplicolor hemi orange . As a test I decided to try and paint the Valve covers are painted in the same rattle can of Duplicolor wrinkle paint I used on my 1/1 car,,,,,and surprisingly enough I think they turned out pretty good for such a small scale. Chassis and suspension is just various shades of Metalizer colors Edited January 10 by gtx6970 6
Old Buckaroo Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Time to finish this one up it looks great - funny how some models get shelved. I actually like the white interior with a bit of yellow to it. Looks more real to my eyes Do you have the glass for the body ? This is a beautiful car!

Kit had the 5 spoke road wheels Rims are from AMT 1971 Duster Tires are parts pack items PS, And I just realized. The Superbee kit is a 440 six pack . SO,,,, me installing the hemi is a goof up. ( I have multiple of the AMT mopar kits all thrown in one big box ) So technically. It's a long way from boxstock Edited January 14 by gtx6970 1
