carsntrucks4you Posted February 4 Posted February 4 (edited) Some thought that this is a photoshoped car, it isn't. This is a 1982 VAM Lerma. Vehiculos Automotores Mexicanos (VAM) was a license partner of American Motors Corporation AMC) in Mexico. VAM imported and produced cars and light trucks under licensefrom Willys, AMC, Chrysler, Jeep, Renault or Eagle, they also designed their own vehicles based on AMC platforms. The Lerma was one of those. The Lerma was a cut and weld built body. The front section was based on an AMC Concord, while the rear half was used from a AMC Spirit. VAM present the design to AMC but manufacturing cost and the sales the aging Concord/Spirit line were not up to adding a new body stlye.
