I haven't, but I have seen it on their site and thought it would be an interesting build. I thought it was a curious subject for 1/24 scale, too. I'll be placing an order with the Plastic Model Store soon, and am considering getting one.

the admiral builds up nice but you should probably do a heller or euro truck kit first. the icm kits are multi piece everything and if a part is not in its exact, yet unclear from the instructions spot, it wont fit together. you can assemble the body before paint but it means gluing the front inner fenders to the outer fenders then very carefully removing the outer fenders from the rest of the body. Its best to follow the body assembly instructions up to the fenders as again even a slight mis alignment will cause problems later. Its also a big kit when its built, almost an inch and a half longer than the similar age monogram 39 chevy but they have lots of detail and a careful read through of the instructions can let you assemble most parts in advance to make it more like the car kits we're used to

I bought this kit last month instead of the Rommel's Rod. First ICM kit i've ever bought, can in the box review . The parts all look very well moulded, with almost no flash seen anywhere. Moulded in detail looks crisp, well detailed. Clear parts are well moulded and thin. windows are all flat, so easy to look good. Chrome parts are very well done, the plating is nicely thin, not like some parts where they look like shiny blobs. They remind me of Tamiya plated parts. Tires look agricultural, with no manufacturers name, though from what i've seen with limited research is normal. This is a closed top model, but there seems to be parts for a top down version as well. There are decals supplied for specific cars, haven't looked into peculiars. The fender flags/pennants have no swastikas, you'll have to supply your own. Instructions are a little vague how some things go together, color suggestions given. Instructions are a mix of Ukraine and English. There pretty good coverage on line of the real car including Hitlers car and more war-like versions. Youtube does have build of this kit as well as different scale kits, along with videos of the real versions. HTH

WWII G4 German Personnel Car 1/24 ICM Models

Has anyone built one of these? Thought it was something odd in 1/24 scale?

My understanding is they upscaled their 1/35 military version and fleshed out the details a bit due to the larger scale. That's the nice thing about modern tools designed in CAD, up and down scaling is much easier.

I seem to remember a Japanese company making a 1/35th scale kit of one quite a number of years back that may have had a number of figures with it.

Having built a few ICM kits my biggest piece of advice is to use a razor saw to cut small parts from the sprue. The plastic is kinda brittle and you'll snap the delicate stuff if you use sprue cutters or a knife.

I ended up ordering one from ebay for around $42 shipped from Poland, probably see it in a few weeks.
