Joe Lange Posted February 6 Posted February 6 I purchased this kit from 'MCW Resin Replicas' back in 1/2017. I was happy with the casting and detail quality but, really wasn't ready to do an engine-less, 'static' model. So, it sat in the box until now. I got an AMT 1963 Avanti, 289 supercharged engine from Ebay and decided to open the hood. Studebaker also offered a sunroof option, so I decided it need that also. More to follow. Thanks for looking! 10
Zippi Posted February 7 Posted February 7 That little 60 Studebaker is going to look pretty sharp Joseph with your mods. 1
Joe Lange Posted March 20 Author Posted March 20 Moving ahead slowly with the Studebaker. The 'R2' supercharged engine is in the chassis, wheels and tires installed. Thinking about Tamyia, 'Mica Red', for body color with a silver-gray roof. Black or gray interior. Thanks for watching! 6
Bugatti Fan Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Nice model taking shape. Those old Studes are clean looking motors.
Joe Lange Posted Thursday at 05:53 PM Author Posted Thursday at 05:53 PM Moving along with the '60 Lark. Paint, interior, and some body trim. Thanks for looking! 5 1
espo Posted Friday at 06:58 PM Posted Friday at 06:58 PM Great looking paint finish and color. Chrome trim looks nice and cleanly done.
LennyB Posted Friday at 07:37 PM Posted Friday at 07:37 PM Last weekend I was driving down the highway and saw a vintage car up ahead of me. As I got closer my brain was telling me studebaker. It was going at a good clip and took a while to catch up with all the traffic. Finally caught up and it was a 1962 Lark Ht in a champagne color. Running down the road pretty good aside from a bit of wiggle in the tail, I think the left rear shock was failing.
Ace-Garageguy Posted Friday at 07:51 PM Posted Friday at 07:51 PM Yup, very cool project. I'd never seen one of these next to a '53 Stude or an Avanti until a couple weeks back at the Savoy Museum near me, and even though they're all on essentially the same chassis, the "small" Lark looks at first glance as being based on a larger car.
NOBLNG Posted Saturday at 03:01 AM Posted Saturday at 03:01 AM Great looking paint and foil work Joe!👍😎
1930fordpickup Posted Saturday at 05:50 AM Posted Saturday at 05:50 AM Looks great. Nice color choice.
