MPC 1/16 1979 Firebird Tail Light Panel

Does somebody know if someone make a correct tail light panel for MPC's 1979 Firebird? Those horizontal bars that are in the kit look so wrong that it almost ruins the model, plus mine are warped anyways. I'm surprised I didn't find anything after a lot of research; am I the only one going nuts over this?
