TopherMcGinnis Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Ive been a mechanic for 40 years, and a diesel truck/equipment mechanic for the last 24. My Buddy just gave me this kit. He bought it in '82/'83 and opened it. The bags are still sealed inside! Let's see some of your builds of this kit! 2
cifenet Posted March 13 Posted March 13 This must be one massive truck, I don’t think I have seen this one being built here. Is Metal Glow means “glow in the dark”? 1
TopherMcGinnis Posted March 13 Author Posted March 13 I'll get it out and take some pictures. The plastic actually has metal flake in it. I believe you can just polish it and assemble without painting.
37 caddy Posted March 13 Posted March 13 I built one back around 11984 when they first came out,it is a impressive kit when finished. The plastic is quite usable as it comes out of the box,it has a nice metallic finish to it.It would be a super easy kit to detail as everything is bigger,i could just imagine the detail some of the guys on here could do to it.Just make sure you have the room for it😁 1
ShakyCraftsman Posted March 13 Posted March 13 (edited) Hey Topher I have the other 1/16 scale Kenworth kit, the red one. Here is what I'm doing to mine. A few pictures for inspiration. I'm not trying to take over your post, just showing what can be done with these big kits. Ron G Edited March 13 by ShakyCraftsman 1 1
