Rattlecan Dan Posted March 8 Posted March 8 My rendition of "Chargin'" Charlie Jarzombek #1 Vega. 10 2
Nacho Z Posted March 8 Posted March 8 That is just fandamntastic!! I love it! Seriously, this thing just put a smile on my face. I think you've captured the feel of these beasts. So cool!
bobss396 Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Nice, that's how his windshield looked. He also did something slick, he ran his radiator over flow into the driver side front header tube. I pitted at Islip about 9 stalls down from him. His cars were works of art. Rumor was that the 2nd shift machine shop at the Grumman plant in Calverton NY made lots of parts for his cars.
FUSIONBOY Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Looks ready to start up and start taking laps! Very Sharp build!!!!
bobss396 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 I had been to his shop in Baiting Hollow once. His brother was a HS shop teacher and involved in the cars. He had a "new" Vega on the chassis table. The shop was big and had everything you could imagine. Charlie's full time gig was driving big rig gasoline trucks out of the Northville oil depot.
Bainford Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Great looking race car. Very fine detailing all around. You captured the period vibe nicely.
