NOBLNG Posted April 14 Posted April 14 I don’t know how my poor little car can grin in this weather?😕
89AKurt Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Let me start with the [blankity blank] Apple weather app, I go off the opposite of what it says. For example, in my Photos window: So I brought in the new Lavender plant. Before sundown it looked like this: This morning: Around 1:00, note pile of snow downhill from PV panels: Around 3:30 on the mountain bike, wind was a little chilly. If you don't like the weather, wait about 5 minutes. 🤪 We celebrate any moisture. I better launch some model rockets soon. 🚀 4
Rodent Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Wow. As we have discussed before, my M.I.L. lived off of Willow Creek near the old Hastings store from 1992 until her stroke and dementia kicked in and we brought her here in 2013. I don't remember ever hearing her talk about snow in Prescott in April. It seemed to be a winter thing that fell, thawed, and froze into icy patches around her neighborhood. I got her Explorer stuck in a slippery parking spot at Thumb Butte once when the spousal unit and I went there for a winter hike, but that would have been in December. Ford Touch Drive 4wd and an open rear differential was not optimal for backing out of a parking spot. 1
89AKurt Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Gorgeous day for Easter service at Watson Lake Park, saw 60ºF. I wanted to launch rockets it was so calm. 😏 2
NOBLNG Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Beautiful day here in southern Manitoba. It got up to 19C (66F). Put the roof down on the MX-5 and went for a 350 km ride through Whiteshell Provincial Park. The roads are very twisty but large sections are in terrible condition so I stuck to the speed limit….mostly.😎
bobss396 Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Saturday broke 80 degrees, I was at my girlfriend's assembling deck furniture all day. We duid have shade to work in. Easter was breezy and cooler out. Today, it was 40 F when I got up.
John M. Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Sunny but high 40s today. I have my space heater and the kettle on for hot drinks.
Xingu Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Took the motorhome out and went camping over Easter weekend. Only went about 3 hours away, up in the mountains. Beautiful weekend except for for Saturday night between 10:00 - 10:30. Vicious thunderstorm wiped up and had sustained winds over 40mph with gusts up to 75mph. The RV got shook pretty good. Heard branches hitting it, but luckily they were all small. Looks like all the big branches and trees landed in empty camping spaces. We heard chainsaws all night and the power was still out when we left Sunday morning. Could see the remains of all the big trees that fell across the road. Was interesting to be stuck in that storm and realizing the fiberglass and aluminum was not going to stop anything with any size to it from crushing our camper. Storm lasted 20-30 minutes and moved on to wreak havoc elsewhere. I now know I could not live in areas prone to tornadoes. 2
89AKurt Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Last Saturday it didn't go over 70ºF, and had gusts. Sunday was a big mountain bike race, everyone at the finish line were wearing jackets. I'm next week someone will leave the oven door open. 2
bobss396 Posted April 29 Posted April 29 This is the 1st day I haven't had the heat on in the morning. Yesterday hit 73, I had the '66 Belair out for a drive. I even did some messy model car work outside while sipping a beer or two. 1
Falcon Ranchero Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Beautiful sunny morning, already above 10 degrees (celsius). But the weather channel says 80% rain right now, into the aft, and sun in the evening, so not actually sure why the sun's out now, but it is quite pleasant.

I don't know what that beautiful piece of machinery is, but now I actually want one. 1
TonyK Posted April 29 Posted April 29 It hasn't rained here in awhile so I finally watered plants in the yard yesterday and told the wife "It will rain now". Rained over night and this morning. 1 1

You are not in luck, it's the only one in existence, homemade. We had what amounted to a tempest, looked almost like monsoon season, then about an hour later it was almost clear. 1
Bugatti Fan Posted May 5 Posted May 5 I live in England. The weather is a bit of a national obsession here. Normally first topic of any conversation. Mind you, that art seems to be dying out as most seem happier gazing into their phones instead. 1
TonyK Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Always remember when I was a kid my Dad telling me when he was stationed in England with the Air Force he never saw the sun. This was in the 1950's. I found that funny and why I still remember it to this day.
Falcon Ranchero Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Stunning sunny day with temps that gotta be over 20 degrees (celsius); a good day to listen to some '50s-'60s music on a 1962 Transistor radio while out in the bush.
slusher Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Today was chilly with north wind tonight 46 degrees annd tomorrow high 74 sunny..
bobss396 Posted May 6 Posted May 6 57 F right now. I haven't had the heat on for at least a week. It has been rainy since Sunday afternoon, real heavy rain all day Monday. Today, only light rain. I did get my patio pot vegetables planted. Also cleaned out my front steps flower pots.
89AKurt Posted May 9 Posted May 9 It looked like WA state with low hanging clouds and rain, the past couple of days. One of my daughters came down from WA and was kind of ticked. 😬 But today was gorgeous, an Arizona Highways kind of day. But when the sun went down, it got chilly. 1
bobss396 Posted May 9 Posted May 9 57 F today, overcast and looks like rain. Yesterday hit 74, I was glad I got my main garden tilled very early.
