Gary Chastain Posted Wednesday at 07:39 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 07:39 PM Seen these on YouTube, got a couple yesterday to try out. They work great, applied glue to the recess, picked up light, set in position and it released very well. If they get dirty, just wash and good to go again. Small and large ends. 3

BK9300 Posted Wednesday at 09:03 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:03 PM Sorry to see the mishap - and I'm with you about the re-do's. You'll take care of it, I'm sure. On the plus side, the jewel picker seems pretty slick! 1
Rockford Posted Thursday at 05:26 PM Posted Thursday at 05:26 PM I hate remaking a handmade part because I dropped the original and couldn't find it. Then, once the replacement is complete, finding the original one in my sock or somewhere!!!! I can't get a dog because I'd be kicking it all the time. 2
Gary Chastain Posted Thursday at 05:34 PM Author Posted Thursday at 05:34 PM I think I saved the grill and hood, no visible damage, let glue dry and check later. PE stuff is nice but man it is so hard to work with. 6
Jürgen M. Posted Thursday at 06:30 PM Posted Thursday at 06:30 PM (edited) I know the feeling! Remembering my Superliner hood which I dropped in the exact moment it was to be mounted! Very painful! Edited Thursday at 06:30 PM by Jürgen M. 2
Rockford Posted Thursday at 06:57 PM Posted Thursday at 06:57 PM Great save, well done. Going to look great as a whole, being able to see the radiator behind, proper depth, like the real thing. 2

BK9300 Posted Friday at 09:40 PM Posted Friday at 09:40 PM Necessity being what it is, looks like a great solution. I have to give this type of casting a try - may ask you for details on process! 1

Don’t know much about this resin and to mold in silicone makes me nervous about painting, we will see. 1
