Seen these on YouTube, got a couple yesterday to try out. They work great, applied glue to the recess, picked up light, set in position and it released very well. If they get dirty, just wash and good to go again. Small and large ends.

Sorry to see the mishap - and I'm with you about the re-do's.  You'll take care of it, I'm sure.  On the plus side, the jewel picker seems pretty slick!

I hate remaking a handmade part because I dropped the original and couldn't find it. Then, once the replacement is complete, finding the original one in my sock or somewhere!!!! I can't get a dog because I'd be kicking it all the time.

I know the feeling! Remembering my Superliner hood which I dropped in the exact moment it was to be mounted!

Very painful!

Trying out resin cast…or I just poured a bunch of red stuff on a good set of mirror heads and they a permanently encased forever in red stuff. See how this goes for the very first time.

Looks great Gary, nice job on the castings

This was an absolute Hail Mary, Bren has printed me a bunch of mirrors and he can’t ship them yet with the postal issues and tariffs thing going on in Canada.

Necessity being what it is, looks like a great solution.  I have to give this type of casting a try - may ask you for details on process!

Not sure how much help I will be, did it once, but it worked out. Tomorrow I will get primer on…..I hope. Don’t know much about this resin and to mold in silicone makes me nervous about painting, we will see.

Built up a custom set of cab marker lights with faceted lights to follow that mild custom vision. kinda wish I would have used blue lenses, little extra cool but using these.
