stitchdup Posted May 28 Posted May 28 me, i suspect in my case its an old computer as my other one is faster and loads everything.
bbowser Posted May 28 Posted May 28 I am seeing the same, if I wait long enough the photos finally load. Until then its in limbo. 1

Bainford Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Me too. For the last week or more photos frequently fail to load, and take a very long time when they do. 1

So at least for me, on Sunday morning, Fotki was the issue, not the MCM Forum... TB
Dave Ambrose Posted June 12 Posted June 12 I'm pretty sure the photos we host are loading properly. The text should be loading promptly. If it isn't, let us know. We've enabled "lazy loading" which means the photos don't actually load until you scroll to that part of the thread. This saves us a lot of resources. However, we can't vouch for photos loaded on an external host. So, if you're using something like Photobucket or Fotki, there may be performance problems that we cannot address.

Some of the photos being 2 billion pixels doesn't help much either...

Ace-Garageguy Posted June 13 Posted June 13 (edited) The more I investigate and try different things, the more I'm seeing evidence that the slow performance may be directly related to issues with my ISP and Chrome. Edited June 13 by Ace-Garageguy
Warren D Posted June 14 Posted June 14 (edited) I had the issue but it seemed to clear up when I logged out and back in. Running Win 11 and Firefox. Edited June 14 by Warren D
Brizio Posted Saturday at 05:59 PM Posted Saturday at 05:59 PM This morning I added some photo on the F6F post but after clicking "Submit Reply" , a message came out saying that the page I/m looking for does not exist. I try few time later, still nothing. 1

The issues come and go for no apparent reason from my perspective, but performance is definitely different depending on what browser and ISP and privacy settings I use..

I wonder if maybe I'm just not around these parts enough to notice that. I'll have to keep track.

KWT Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I've read the thread. This happens with text and photos.. with text and no photos... and with photos no text... so no, not exactly
