Mothersworry Posted June 1 Posted June 1 My Slot Car Pit Box. Had it custom built to my specs about 15 or so years ago and finished it myself. Lotsa storage fer cars, trackside maintenance goodies, controller and other such stuff. 4
Old Buckaroo Posted June 2 Posted June 2 That is an awesome set up! Is there a club track that you go to race at ? A forum friend here is talking about putting in a pool table at his place - I'm trying to convince him a racetrack would be much more fun.
Spooker Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Very nice set-up there, Mothersworry! Some gorgeous cars. I only dabble in 1/32 scale, don't really have room for a decent-sized layout. HO with the grandkids and a few friends in the area, nothing organized. We all use some form of large tackle box as our pit boxes, the work well in our scale. Hey Old Buckaroo, suggest a table-topper to set on the pool table with a permanent or semi-permanent layout on it. If there's nothing too high on the layout, it can just lean against a wall when not in use. Best of both worlds. I have a 6x12 foot flat top that goes over my permanent, soon to be scenicked layout for when I want to set up something different, usually for the grandkids. It's in 2 pieces that lock together for easier handling. 1
rv1963 Posted Friday at 02:42 AM Posted Friday at 02:42 AM Yes that is a really nice pit box, great finish you put on it, and I really like all your vintage slot cars. I have lots of old vintage slot cars from the 1960's and 70's, to bad our local track closed about a year ago. My friend has a small 1/24 scale oval in his basement I try to run my vintage stuff.
