Northeast Dirt Modified from the East Windsor Speedway Days

For my next build.....picked up this 3D print body/chassis at the NNL East . We sponsored this car back in the 90's ,,,Phil Rys's small block dirt modified ,Pauch/Olsen chassis .I had decals made (not STS) from a guy that just does these dirt cars . I didn't like the engine that came with the kit so I got a SBC from Iceman and will make it work .The picture of the side panel is all thats left of the car and is currently hung up in my son's garage,,with East Windsor dirt still on it!

I have some of Paul's kits. The existing engine is a challenge to detail, so is the chassis with it being complete.

I went to EW once, when Doug Hoffmann ruled the place.

Yeah,,would have been better if it was printed as separate pieces,,same with the body . I don't know what the engine was supposed to be,,looked like hemi heads! Sure wasn't a small block chebbie! Yeah the good old days at Windsor,,,Flemington too,, I go to New Egypt every once and awhile now

We hit Flemington for special races and when our tracks rained out. We'd call Flemington or OCFS and see if they were running.

We went to NE when it was asphalt around 1982 or 1983, the guys we pitted next to at Islip went to run a Pocono street stock qualifier, which they won.

Then it went dirt under the New Venture name and the track failed. I'd like to go one night, it's not that far from me

My son and I ran karts at Flemington with Ace Lane and his sons ,Jimmy Blewett and Martin Truex Jr ,,,,late 80's early 90's ,, good times

...............chassis work in progress,,I added a small block Chevy in place of the non-descript engine that came with the kit ,,same difficulty here with the chassis printed in one piece as far as detail painting ,,,and all the engine details will be hidden once the body is on, their work is really great but A-1 Raceworks who puts out the kits should consider printing them in pieces,,at least the chassis and the body just make the hood removable,,,not complaining ,,just suggesting,,,lol

Cool back story, Scott. Lots of detail in the chassis and motor - maybe you can display it with body off?  From the looks of your first pic of the resin body, and the one photo of the real car, likely would have been a hell of a job to separate the hood from the body, cleanly.  Coming together nicely.
