I finished this one up several weeks ago. I have provided a link to the WIP thread. Overall, I think this is a great kit and would recommend it. It is not as detailed as the Aoshima offerings. The kit provides some engine detail, but it can’t be seen once you fit the body. Instead of listing everything that I used and did to this build I would recommend checking out the WIP thread.

My favorite McLaren livery. Most Excellent decal work. I bought a 1:32 Slot Car just because of the livery

I haven’t been very active on the board lately.  I noticed that I never replied to the comments on my McLaren.  Thank you to the guys who left comments.  It was a fun build and looks quite good on the shelf.  I’ll be entering it in a few contests this Fall and we’ll see how she does.  I have started on a Sauber-Mercedes C9 that is going to be quite detailed.  I hope to start a WIP thread soon.

Absolutely gorgeous build. But I'll be keeping an eye out for the Sauber WIP thread. I've been stocking up on aftermarket items myself for my Sauber build. Luckily I was able to get 95% of what I needed before all the tariff craziness started. I'll be following along closely!

Super stellar work! And nice photos as allways!

Hey, guys, thanks so much for the kind words!  To follow up on my last post, I have taken this model to four model shows so far.  It has placed in every show. One gold, one first place, and two second places.  It has won Best Interior and it has been selected to be photographed for magazine coverage at two different shows.

Thank you, Scot!  I have hit a bit of a wall on my C9 build.  I have just under 100 hours in my C9, but I haven’t touched it in close to two months.  I think it is partially due to burn out.  These long term, detailed builds can take it out of a person.  So much planning goes into something like that before you even start touching plastic.  It can be a little disappointing (not sure if that is the best word to use) to spend some much time and effort on something and not have a lot of progress to show for it.
