Andria H Posted Wednesday at 10:49 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:49 PM Start on a custom 1/8 scale Revell '53 Triumph pre-unit chopper trike. A custom cushion for the rear jump seat/deck was made to fit over the wood base, with dark saddle upholstery to fill the area, the bucket seat was cut down to accommodate the new design of the rear shell and may be replaced altogether, and the rear shell was cut down into a more typical 1970s fiberglass trike fender tub configuration. The bottom/inner liner/side scallops on this rear seat/fender tub will be painted in Tamiya Color Ruddy Brown with kit supplied silver flame decals added on to the entire shell, the Triumph Motorcycle logo will be applied to the tank sides, and the rest of the kit other than the weaponry and chains will be built out of the box, with the white letter tires detailed and a custom California license plate put on the back. The main color of this shell is Krylon dark copper with a Krylon rose-gold mist effect to simulate 1970s/80s "bass boat style" metalflake brown gelcoat.
Andria H Posted Thursday at 08:39 AM Author Posted Thursday at 08:39 AM Better paint and an assembled frame. The seat is not finalized since a guy on this site has a seat for me coming soon and it is a nicer seat, and I will be putting scrap black glove leather or pleather on the rear seat platform. License plate light will be detailed, and I will be working on other stuff as the project progresses. I also used the "wedge" tank from other versions of the kit that Revell AG was nice enough to include, and widened it slightly. I'm also undecided whether to use the wrought iron floorboard grates or the touring floorboards.
Andria H Posted Thursday at 10:23 AM Author Posted Thursday at 10:23 AM Failed project. Can a mod lock/delete? Thanks
