earlleecliffton1 Posted September 4 Posted September 4 is the amt 64 impala body anygood? how much work is needed?
Carmak Posted September 4 Posted September 4 To my eye the AMT 64 Impala body has very good proportions. I feel the body proportions are better than the Revell 64 Impala body. There are a couple places prone to sink marks such as the trunk (above screw posts), and the upper front fender (opposite radiator support and firewall alignment tabs). The sink marks can be hit and miss. I recently picked up an original issue survivor with no sink marks at all. Hope this helps.
TECHMAN Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Have built several over the years, (IMO) all have made decent builders. The AMT '64, is (again IMO) an easy builder, but with little work & care, makes a really nice shelf model. Enjoy!!! DJ
Rbray47 Posted September 4 Posted September 4 The body is pretty much spot on. The hood trim is molded as part of the grill, but it's easy enough to cut away.
