I ordered two from Spotlight hobbies a couple of days ago and they were shipped today....perhaps they restocked early?  Anyway, as of yesterday Spotlight had the Pro Touring kits in stock....TB

Yep.
Not a "script", but separate letters

My K Code version arrived yesterday from Wes Model Car Corner. Now having one of each, I’ll probably dive into the K Code, and see if I can modify the hood, to resemble a flat hood. That way, hopefully I can graft a tear drop scoop onto it. I’m hoping that a stock version is on the works, for future builds.

I picked mine up last evening at my local hobby shop. Apparently, they have immediately sold out their initial order, and I have heard the kit is so popular it may be a while until they can get more. Having a quick look inside the box I am very impressed especially with the pro-touring chassis, engine compartment and interior. Like others I am not crazy about the hood, and I would probably remove the scripts anyways. Although it will likely be some time before I get around to building a pro-touring Comet, I may consider using the '65 body.

How? They only have released one production run of the Comets thus far. If they choose to fix the script gaffe, they will have to stop production on run #2, perform modifications on the body mold, potentially run a body batch to offer to customers who want corrected bodies, and THEN issue a production run with corrections. 

Factor in shipping from China and it could be 2nd or 3rd quarter 2026 before "Comet" is facing the right way.

After viewing the video Alan provided, it appears these Comet kits have a few shortcomings besides the backwards “Comet” lettering scripts. 
I’m almost afraid to crack my box open and see a hot mess.

Overall , looks like a good kit

I already have a few of the old AMT versions  and with no real desire to build one stock ( Both of mine are slated to be old drag cars) 

NOW,,, should they decide to release say the SOX MARTIN or DYNO DON versions. Then I may have to have one or 2 and make my life easier

I went down and checked out both kits. One sprue is warped, but the parts on it are fine. Go figure. I fitted both kits hoods on the bodies and they fit like a glove.

I did just as Tom did, and found the same result.  The K-Code sprue had very slight warpage on my kit (much less than in the video), but the parts on it were fine.  The hood on my RestoMod kit also fit perfectly. 

If anyone sees a RestoMod hood that is flawed like the one in the video that Alan posted the link to, I encourage them to contact Moebius at the email addy in the instruction sheet; I would expect they would send a new one right away quick.  I have two more RestoMod kits that just arrived from Spotlight Hobbies last week, I'll try to dig those out and see if there are any hood warpage issues on those.  

I also finally had a chance to look at the reversed "Comet' engraving on the passenger side.  This is very shallow engraving on the tool, making the letters just slightly raised.  About five or 10 gentle swipes with a sanding pad and they'll be gone for a resto-mod build.  For a showroom stock or K-Code build, at the 28 minute mark of the video Alan posted above, the reviewer shows a way to foil cast new letters for the passenger side.  I would still probably just sand mine off and wait for a future decal badge, either from the aftermarket or perhaps from Moebius should they decide to resolve the issue that way.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t show well for the quality of their engraving in general, reversed or not.  Perhaps the best fix would be to foil copy using the AMT body for the lettering?
