Vettegasser Posted October 22 Posted October 22 so. I acquired a big Revell motorcycle parts box. There was a few parts to this bike in it. The frame was in 4 pieces and just the top half. This is a long shot. But I would like to find the seat a copy or photos of the instructions and if at all possible a measurement of the forks from the bottom triple tree down. With the help of an ole L.A. street chopper frame I was able to make a complete frame. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Rocketman455 Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Heres a cool link to the real bike, that was copied from the Revell kit. http://www.dwrenched.com/2018/01/dwrenched.html?m=1
Vettegasser Posted October 22 Author Posted October 22 Yea I’ve read that. Cool bike in scale and 1:1
ybsluos Posted Friday at 04:30 AM Posted Friday at 04:30 AM Jimmy I will measure the forks in a bit but for now I photographed my instructions. I may be able to get you a copy of my seat in resin if my friend will do it. He probably will, but it may take me like a month to get a copy. Anyhow, here you go…
ybsluos Posted Friday at 05:51 AM Posted Friday at 05:51 AM (edited) Jimmy, I don’t have a stylus to use on my crummy ancient iPhone, so I did this with my finger. You might want to reference it against against the duplicate of this picture …..step 19. my lines are horrible but I tried to draw a line right across the hole that is in the forks where the bottom part of the triple tree goes and the front wheel axle centerline….. 6 and 3/8”. (Six and three eighths inches.)Hope this helps brother. I’ll talk to my friend about pulling a mole off of my seat. My bike is complete and I kind of want to build it. I wish it would get reissued. I’d like to build a version with the ridiculously long forks and one with the forks cut down to sit level. Anyhow I was fortunate enough to get mine for a pretty good price about 12 years ago on eBay from a guy in Italy. But I’m happy to let my friend cast the parts out of it to help you complete your build. I’ll talk to him in the next couple days. I’ll keep you posted. I’m sure you would’ve preferred to have had a copy of the instructions rather than 6 billion pictures on here but that’s what I was able to pull off tonight. If you don’t mind waiting until I get that seat, I could always take my instruction sheet to the library and copy it for you. Should you find that those pictures are too hard to follow. I did the best. I could just real quick tonight to get you started. I’d love to see you get that bike done. It’s a wild critter. I may start on mine this winter. Edited Friday at 06:03 AM by ybsluos
Vettegasser Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago Thanks sooo much. I’ve since gotten a complete buildup. Little on the gluey side but I can redo it. I really started with very little on the first one. Good part is I’ll have two of them. The only part I don’t have. Is a seat for the first one. The ornament that goes on the back fender for both. And scratch build forks for the first one. I agree this is one of the coolest bikes in 1/8 scale 1
Vettegasser Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago Boy it would be really cool if someone made those decals. Maybe I can run across a set some time. May do the midnight rider version with one of mine and the black bike with the other 1
