Mark W Posted November 2 Posted November 2 Finally calling this one done! Started with the ARII kit and added the interior, floor pan, inner duct work and engine from the Union Chaparral 2E, as they were the same on the 1:1 cars. Gages are decals with metal bezels. The "pipes" are electrical furrels attached to the Union engine. The wheels and tires along with the side scoops (relocated to the proper position) came from HRM. Decals are VRM and the body clips are scratch. Also added the screws (Top Studio) to the windscreen. Paint is Model Car World Ermine white. Hope you like it! 7
kensar Posted November 3 Posted November 3 As has already been said, great looking model and photography, too. The metal mesh really looks good and the electrical furrels worked out perfectly. 1
Mike 1017 Posted November 3 Posted November 3 One of the best that I have ever seen. Perfect Presentation 1

Mark W Posted November 3 Author Posted November 3 Thank you Jon. I’m watching your Hudson with interest.
bytownshaker Posted November 3 Posted November 3 From such a basic kit, the work you put into this build turned it into such a beautiful replica. 1

I came to a point where I had to stop adding, it could have went on and on. The car 1:1 car is so nice I tried to do it justice.

Thanks Helmut, your input on this build was invaluable. btw, I found out the higher height of the rear spoiler you showed is on the later version of this car, along with the right side scoop. The ARII car is the early version, but you need to add the exhaust rising from the rear deck, not out the back. It also had risers on the carbs, so they stuck up higher from the bodywork.
