Carmak Posted Monday at 09:10 PM Posted Monday at 09:10 PM I just saw this pic posted on Facebook. It's a fresh pallet of Round2 models at Walmart. Notice some of the unique box art on some of the kits. It reminds me a bit of the old checkerboard box art AMT kits from a couple decades ago. 5
Mr. Metallic Posted Monday at 09:13 PM Posted Monday at 09:13 PM It sounds like the Sundowner version may be exclusive to WalMart as well? Looks like about 1/3 of the kits on that display have unique/new box art.
Ragtop Man Posted Monday at 10:47 PM Posted Monday at 10:47 PM Does the Customizing '66 T-Bird also inclue Tonneau + Wires?

I gotta think it's a rebox of the recent (2022) AMT1328 '66 Thunderbird kit. I can see the tonneau cover illustrated on the side of the box. "Customizing Series" ?? I wonder which AMT '57 Bel Air kit that is? Edited Monday at 11:15 PM by blizzy63

We haven't had model kits in our Walmarts in Canada since.

stavanzer Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago What kit is the Sundowner? Chevy Truck of some kind?
FoMoCo66 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago That 57 box art looks unique, I actually quite like it. Creig, have you checked our local Walmarts for kits yet?
Volzfan59 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I really hope that our local Walmart carries kits this year. They had some three or four years ago, but they weren’t big sellers. 🤞

Tough to tell from the picture, but I'm guessing it's a rebox of the GMC "Deserter". Wheels/tires in the illustration look a bit oversized, which would match up with that scenario. They did recently tool up the Chevy grill for the Sodbuster stepside, so I guess there's a chance it could be a Chevy. But I don't think they have a Fleetside Chevy tailgate that they could use. Notice that the '60 Ford truck is one of the kits with different box art. Looks like the box is the same size as all the other kits. For that $19.99 price I'm guessing it doesn't include the trailer. Interesting development. Over the weekend I stopped at one of my local Walmarts to pick up some Valvoline. Was surprised to see they had an aisle display of kits, but it was the "old" selection that's been popping up over the past year. None of this unique box art. Edited 18 hours ago by Robberbaron 1

Mike 1017 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I hope my local Walmart has these. $19.97 is a bargain 2

My '60 ford truck is in that size box with the trailer. My box is the same but the truck is red and white. The '57 Chevy has me wondering if it is the stock only or has the custom parts? Out of those, the van and '34 Ford would be in my cart.

The '60 Ford trucks w/ the trailer I have are in red and white and in oversized boxes, this appears to be a standard size box. Haven't been in a Wal-Mart in years, got all of the regular issues of those kits, really don't need more.
