M W Elky Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago About 10 years ago I found this original box to add to my box art collection , and as luck would have it there was some original parts inside including this body in primer . I finished it off with a donor chassis from the Dyno Don Cougar and a parts box Hemi some Testors enamel slixx decals . I thought oh cool another color me gone car to the collection. Then through another post a little bit ago on this form I learned of the Don Emmonds build of the late 60’s . Since that article was before I was born I wasn’t aware of it until then . So I can only wonder if this was another Don Emmonds inspired build ? Anyway here it is .I for one am a huge advocate of seeing this one along with the Mr . Unswitchable remade . The really cool part of this kit was that it could be made one of 2 ways either A/FX or flip top as in the mid 60’s these cars would change more rapidly then model kit manufacturers could keep up with. I included a couple pictures of both cars with that excellent original box art . So until next time thanks for looking, 2
Hemifever Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago WOW, two very cool builds. I really like the match racer build, and you did a masterful job moving the f&r wheels forward, no easy task. I attempted to build both the Color Me Gone and Mr Unswitchable kits when I was about 10 years old. It was a tough task. Yes, bring them back. Congrats on your builds. 1
