Sounds good to me. This is a busy time of year and we could all used time to think about the options!

Bugs, would be cool. police vehicles would also. The Peking to Paris was IMO to restricted.

I don't think so, but those cars are pretty wild! They would offer a wide open field for the imagination. They could probably rolled into an unlimited or a race car category, I guess.

I really think the CBR should stick to its roots of being strictly for roadworthy, and licensed vehicles, be they wild or otherwise, they need to be street legal in most parts of the world, and traveling from the East Coast of the U.S. to the West coast. Anything else should/could be a separate CB. IMHO.

i would take it as just beetles but then would a renault dauphine on a bug pan or the imc beelte drag version still count? theres some custom bugs that while they are all bug are a bit.....

Yes it could fall under  LeMons or Low buck build. I was thinking like General  Meyhem , Vanishing paint Challenger, Mazdarati,  the blown Jaguar, Blastphemi, Stuby Bob ,the Crusher Camaro , Project X . Just that style, lots of possibilities not exact replicas. Like a rear engine D- 50, a 55 Chevy with a blown 429 Ford, a 1-ton rear engine 55 Chevy pick-up, a Torino built General Mayhem style. I guess it's mostly the name Roadkill Ball.

What about doing cars that member currently own or owned in the past, (like your first car in high-school)? Kinda gives everyone a chance to get to learn something about the members on the board

Sounds good Seth, but I'm not sure if a chevy kingswood wagon would be available in kit form. Now maybe my old 72 camaro or 75 cutlass might work.

I'm going to have to check the list of cars I have owned. But that does sound like a good idea.

Funny there, in high school my first vehicle was a bone stock anemic '73 Chevy Luv pickup, which is what the Monogram LUV Street Pickup is, except it has a cannonball-ish V8 and wide wheels / tires. A box-stock build would be all I'd need to do.

I'll repeat my suggestion from 2024, though, the double challenge of building one of those old unloved Palmer kits (unbuilt or salvaged gluebomb sourced) first into something moderately realistic looking to overcome the Palmer designs shortcomings. Second challenge is modding it into a Cannonball type high performance vehicle, in the way some of their box art illustrations showed them.

I would be in for that! If it would be ok to not build replicas.. I hate replicas  But I would be able to build my 1998 Camaro, 1977 Chevelle, K5 blazer or a BMW E34, I do have kit of allots al of them, the E34 was a wagon 325 but as long as its a E34 I would pass it 😛

One of the standing rules for CBR is that it be 1/24, 1/25, and with approval, 1/20th. 
Also, by limiting entrants to a single manufacturer will result in fewer contestants, and we strive to appeal to more contestants.

😅 I don't do replicas well either, but you'd just have to build the make & model. Btw, how would we know you didn't own what your pick was? I have a pic of only one car I ever owned, and there isn't a kit out there for it. So folks would have to trust that I'd ever owned it.

Well folks, we're up to 31 ideas, which is where I'd like to cap it, but its not my call. I just think adding more ideas makes the final decision harder.
