Elrodbeckham Posted Thursday at 07:13 PM Posted Thursday at 07:13 PM do they have mcm. I was there the other day and could not find it.
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted Thursday at 11:37 PM Posted Thursday at 11:37 PM Have never seen it there.
Rodent Posted Thursday at 11:45 PM Posted Thursday at 11:45 PM https://www.modelcarsmag.com/dealers/ Mostly hobby shops.
mikemodeler Posted Friday at 02:50 PM Posted Friday at 02:50 PM Once upon a time they did, but I think it got dropped when Gregg switched publishers and the magazine got off a regularly printed schedule. As Rodent posted, it can usually be found at hobby shops, makes for a great excuse to buy some supplies or kits and toss in a magazine too. 1
Dave Ambrose Posted Friday at 07:21 PM Posted Friday at 07:21 PM B&N does not carry MCM. We looked at it a while back and the costs are prohibitive.
TonyK Posted Friday at 07:28 PM Posted Friday at 07:28 PM Barnes and Noble has changed in the last few years. I used to go there a few of times a year to look at all their discounted books but that has become slim pickens. Also became disappointed looking in the topic sections such as auto racing/car books. Maybe it's just the one near me but I don't go there anymore.
sfhess Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago My Local Barnes & Noble is my source for getting copies of Octane and a few other magazines. Because they carry Fine Scale Modeler they sell the contest issues. At one point they must have had a dozen different Formula 1 "special edition" magazines.
Rodent Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago My "old school" LHS used to carry "both" magazines. I enjoyed looking over the new issues when they came in, and I usually purchased one, the other, or both. They closed quite a few years ago because they wanted to retire and they refused to believe that it wasn't 1965 anymore. The surviving shop doesn't carry magazines.
