randx0 Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 (edited) This is a 1991 Geo storm promo that I disassembled painted with Testors One Coat Lacquer Flaming orange two coats and one coat of the Testors One Coat Lacquer Wet Look Clear . I was able to get all the paint on over the course of an evening which bodes well for me in the future as painting with enamels that took weeks to cure enough to polish out was a major stumbling block for completion of my builds. I used Frog tape to mask off the roof as it couldn't be removed from the "glass" the tape performed very well .The wheels were found in the ol' parts box but fit quite nicely.Over all I think the paint and rims almost make the storm look cool but not quite I hope you are as amused as I am! B_rad88 Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 (edited) and to let you know the geo metro had the 1.0l 3 cylinders! the geo storm only had 4 cylinders, and a range of them! they had a 1.5 sohc, 1.6 sohc, 1.6 dohc, 1.8 dohc! BUT the promo model is based on the 1991 geo storm GSi with the big 1.8 dohc! the fastest and the most hp! almost 180hp! stock! trust me i know geos! my mother had the 1992 geo storm gsi! I owned a 3 geo metros (89 LSi 3door w/manual , 94 3 door Xfi w/manual, and a 94 5door wagon w/auto!) Edited June 17, 2009 by KUZTOMMODELS88

RJWood Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Nice paint work. it looks good in that color. Surely an improvment. What color was it before?
randx0 Posted June 17, 2009 Author Posted June 17, 2009 Nice paint work. it looks good in that color. Surely an improvment. What color was it before? It was that green color. I was impressed with how well the lacquer paint covered the the old color.
