I think that is MV Lenses, but I'm not sure if they're still around. I believe they were aimed more towards the model railroaders? Maybe I'm wrong.

I think that might be it. They were aimed at train modelers. That sucks if they are gone. I wonder why. I just got my internet back :o and I've missed out on quite a bit. I lost ALL of my old bookmarks and I'm trying to find all the sites I used to have.

I can't remember what company it was that made the clear, yellow, red and so on lenses.

Can anyone remind me please??

Abe, it is MV Products. They work beautifully as replacement lens for headlights, taillights etc. I know if you google them it doesn't come up with them specifically, but there are several retailers that are listed. I buy them a the local Model RailRoad shop.

I have a few set of their small blue lens around to use as blue dots in taillights, they are about .030 in dia. and work perfectly.

Hi Abe!

Good to see you back!

A well stocked Model Train Shop should have those MV lenses. Around here, a shop 40 miles south of me in Gettysburg called Tommy Gilbert's has tons of those MV lenses. His site has no pics, but if you call him, he can give you a good description.

Here's a pic of the lenses you want on a Jaguar D-Type build I did years ago...............

I sliced a thin piece of aluminum tubing to represent the chrome bezel...........looks a lot more realistic than trying to paint something that tiny! ;)

MR. OBSESSIVE!!!! HEY! How ya been doin man??? I missed all you guys so much!! I still haven't finished the Challenger ;) . I messed the paint up pretty bad. I've been discouraged ever since. I bought a new Badger anthem recently and have been itching to try it out. I just need to build a new paint booth.

Here's a pic or 2 of the tail light box I made for my Scout project using aluminum tubing and acrylic rod.

That Walthers place has the MV lenses, but how are you suppoesed to figure what size you need for headlights?

After looking at their site I would start at the very bottom of the page and work my way up. At the bottom they have just the size and color lense in decimals. If ya have a machinists 6" rule it will usually have the fractions and its decimal equvilant on the back for people like me who can't just look at the decimals and go .078 is 5/64". I also have a calculator that does fractions and makes it easy to scale up and down pretty easily.

Oh! I see now that they do have some in fraction sizes too.
