FujimiLover Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 that does look sweet! i want to build the R30 silhouette formula skyline! You know, if you ever get into 1/28 scale Mini-Z racing, Kyosho does make that body for their Mini-Z chassis, and it is beautifully detailed. We guy's still like to collect the bodies even if we don't race'em. The bodies alone are beautiful to have and display. Check out Hobby Japan on ebay as they should still have this model in stock. There are two versions, the one you pictured here, and I think an older year that had gold BBS rims. Kyosho does a gorgeous job with their AutoScale bodies. Super detail, light-weight, and lot's of fun on the track! Just a little FYI!
935k3 Posted July 4, 2009 Author Posted July 4, 2009 (edited) It is a curbside but it has a really nice detailed interior. I have 2 kits of the R30. One is the Aioshima and the other is Gunze Sangyo. The Gunze version is similar to this one. Edited July 4, 2009 by 935k3
935k3 Posted July 4, 2009 Author Posted July 4, 2009 Here is a video of some of these cars racing. Aoshima makes allot of different versions of the Skyline including the Coca Cola version in this video but there not avilable in the USA and have to be ordered from Japanese vendors like HLJ or Hobbysearch.com Japanese Gr. 5
Nick F40 Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 (edited) When race cars were real and fun! Ahhh I love this. That picture with the R31 spitting the flames sends chills up my spine. ahhh the video, lovely At 1:00, Formula One sounding! I think that's Fuji? Why can't we have cars that sound that good, that you have to man handle and actually drive, and have to push in a clutch and shift and have to race in the ran and not dilly dally around it, and not have traction or stability help or any of this other electronic BS and have drivers that know how to drive, which in turn didn't have to have all this new safety sutff...... THAT'S how a Skyline should sound and what they were made to do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAuLTQdL9zg...feature=related Edited July 6, 2009 by Nick F40
