bettyboop Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Anyone have any tips on removing chrome trim that is superglued to the body. Thanks. BB
Mr. Can Am Garage Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Nail polish remover might work. Might take the chrome off too.
ultraliner13 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Put the model in a freezer over night. The extreme cold should make the superglue join brittle. With luck you should be able to pop the pieces apart the next day. May sound crazy but it has worked for me. Cheers John Wilson
62rebel Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 they acc glue to put them on, they have a solvent to take them off. i think it's really just acetone with perfume in it. is the trim plated metal or plastic? if it's plastic i'd do the freezer thing first, knowing acetone's appetite for plastic.
