Corvette.Jeff Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 I couldnt find my thread for my c4 corvette from when i was a little kid,So I'm creating a virtual garage for all my builds. First we have the c4 corvette of course. I had put a really nice coat of red on the inside and out(probably the best so far!) Then i put a coat of clear on it and it went down hill i didnt have a lot of clear so it messed up plus it was humid you'll notice i do have body filler in some spots, thats because I've shaved the door handles, and the marker lights. I have the hood with one headlight "open" for the 80's drifter style in the u.s.a. I'm also working on a cowl induction hood for it, I'm using the cowl off of a 69' camaro hood i had laying around and bondo'ed it to the hood, dont have any pictures because my ferret got to it and knocked it down where the cats could get it and it broke The newest addition is the Fujimi Lamborghini countach kit I'm doing for the cannon ball run build off. It'll be a little while before i start working on this one im going to try to go all out on it i mean flocking, headliner, full interior and exterior on it i would do engine detail but it's a curbside.
diymirage Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 good idea i like it how the doors open on the lambo but just for your information if you go to the "on the workbench" section, there is a bar on the lower right corner it will give you certain options on what posts to show if you pick "topics i started" it will only show the topics (you guessed it) you started thats how i always used to find my build threads (now everytime i start a new build thread i put the link in my siggy)
Corvette.Jeff Posted July 11, 2009 Author Posted July 11, 2009 Yea, i know. Plus i wanted to start this because i'm going to be adding a few more projects within the next few days, its easier to keep them all together than start seperate threads.
Corvette.Jeff Posted July 13, 2009 Author Posted July 13, 2009 Got some more building supplies today sandpaper, glazing putty, and superglue!
RodneyBad Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Well, ya can't go wrond with Super GLue. I use it 80% of the time.. Clear coats are a tough one. I use Tamiya, Model Master, Testors, and Plasti-kote paints so I need their Clear for each one to insure it don't goof up. I love the LAMBO Gotta love a car that started out just to be better than a Ferrari. True story.
Corvette.Jeff Posted September 22, 2009 Author Posted September 22, 2009 Had to dig this one up to put in some more projects Heres the newest addition to the bench, a 26' ford SD Sorry for the lousy camera work, i really didnt feel like editing any pictures today... Theres still some more body work to be done, all iv'e done so far is a small top chop(about 3-5 scale inches) deleted the b pillar(much cleaner look imo) and smooth some stuff out. Next is a small update on the 84' corvette. Thats not the final color, iv'e succesfully attatched the hood scoop on, just a little more sanding is needed, need to soak the body and the interior card in the "purple pond" and then its almost done. Heres the newest project, a cale yarbrough nascar street version. The reason i started this one is cale's cousin gene actually lives next door to me, so after i finish it i plan to ask his cousin if he could get cale to autograph it for me to add to my collection. Heres my last two projects pictured together. The ducatti you can follow in the big boyz forum, the orange 'vette is a little rag top to hard top project i have going on.
BigJoe23 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Jeff, is the 'Vette gonna be a replica of the 1:1 in your driveway? Will it have the 1:1's rear end problem?
